User friendly Template preparation

Now there is knowledge (Xpath-like "language") needed to prepare Template in MS Word 2007+ and preparation itself is not user friendly.

My suggestion (and we have spoken about it) is to prepare plugin into MS Word containing "building blocks" for template in ribbon or dedicated window/task pane. Inspiration can be OXP (another reporter for Provision) or Novitech QPR reporter (unpublished, unsupported reporter).

I guess that preparation of template will never be "user friendly" - it will require modeling methodology knowledge (how the model is built) and a knowledge of associations between object types. However to create a toolbar with template elements and a template structure navigator and possibility of preview would dramatically improve perception of the reporting tool itself.

We need a story - a simple one - illustrating how one would find a need to create a report upon some model and how the work would look like with proposed support built in the Word. Would you be able to propose / make up some scenario? What would be some representative need, something very obvious, with clear utilization of a result,,,
